Porto de Abrigo of Porto Santo

About the Porto de Abrigo

Porto de Abrigo of Porto Santo is a maritime gateway to discover the countless beaches and natural wonders this golden island has to offer. With all the necessary conditions in place, small and large ships arrive here from all over the world.

It's precisely in this port that the famous ferry boat called 'Lobo Marinho', arrives and departs every day, connecting the island of Madeira to the island of Porto Santo. Leaving daily from Funchal, this boat covers the distance between the two islands of the archipelago, in a journey lasting about 2h15. Its large interior can accommodate more than 1150 passengers and dozens of cars.

Porto de Abrigo of Porto Santo is also used by cruise ships that stop at the island from all over the world. As such, all the conditions required to receive the boats are ensured. Cais do Molhe, integrated into this space, allows ships to dock easily, and is equipped with infrastructures capable of providing the various types of service requested by those who arrive here.
