Located in the heart of Funchal, Choux has been awarded a Solete by the Guia Repsol, recognizing the space for its authenticity, quality, and welcoming atmosphere, reinforcing its position as a reference in contemporary pastry in Madeira.

The project was born from the experience and career of pastry chef Joana Gonçalves, who, after training in award-winning kitchens and internships in renowned restaurants such as Belcanto, Ritz Four Seasons Lisbon, and Fifty Seconds by Martin Berasategui, returned to Madeira to create Choux. Her approach values the territory, uses regional and seasonal products, and highlights local flavors in each creation, combining classical French technique with artisanal and innovative production.
