Fontinha Beach is one of the most frequented beaches, both by visitors and locals from Porto Santo. It's located in one of the busiest areas of the island, Vila Baleira.
Starting at Cais Velho, the beach is characterised by its great extension. A total of 720 metres long. It ends about 200 metres west of the Hotel Torre Praia, bordering the Pedras Pretas Beach.
Fontinha Beach is widely known for the beauty of its large sandy beach and, of course, for the turquoise blue shade of its waters. It therefore has a set of unique natural conditions, to which we can add the therapeutic properties of the sand. These scientifically proven properties are important allies in the treatment of rheumatic and orthopaedic problems, for example.
