Achadinha

Rural Tourism Development - Country House

A remote mountain retreat

Achadinha is a typical Madeiran vernacular house, with two floors, built in basalt stone. It's a simple, genuine refuge for those looking for a quiet escapade from stressful city life, just a stone's throw from the Laurissilva forest (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Rabaçal, and the famous 25 Fontes and Risco levadas.

Details

The house comprises a kitchen, living room with fireplace, bedroom and two shower bathrooms. The furniture and decoration include antique details handed down from generation to generation. The creative, harmonious combination of all these relics makes it an even more special house - where magic seems to happen!

Carefully and ecologically rebuilt by the Gouveia family, the Achadinha country house flows with its surroundings. The property provides several flowery terraces and orchards, where you can contemplate the landscape from different perspectives: a picturesque setting with rural houses facing the Atlantic Ocean.
