The Anjos Waterfall is closed
The Anjos Waterfall in Ponta do Sol has been gaining visibility on social media, sparking the curiosity of many visitors. However, access to the site is not recommended and is officially prohibited by the authorities for safety reasons.
The old road (ER101), over which the waterfall descends, is frequently closed due to the high risk of natural landslides. During rainy periods, the surface becomes particularly slippery and accidents have already been reported in the area.
Given these conditions, the Anjos Waterfall does not meet the safety requirements for visit. It is therefore essential to respect all existing signage, as well as the barriers and fencing that mark the closure of the site.
